Abstract:
Clinical guidelines are becoming increasingly important as a mean of influencing clinicians practice. This is particularly true in guidelines pertaining to antibiotic use. The success of such guidelines depends on many factors but most importantly on the rigour and commitment used in developing and disseminating these guidelines.
